Apr. 25--RUSSIA could be dragged into the air subsidy dispute simmering between Europe and America after Airbus invited Russia to become a partner on the A350, the aircraft at the centre of the row. Airbus is also set to appoint a new chief executive at a board meeting this week.

The news comes as Russia draws closer to entry to the World Trade Organisation (WTO), the body which would impose sanctions if the dispute cannot be resolved. On Friday, Japan said it would support Russia's membership in the WTO this year.
