Starbucks is more than the ubiquitous coffeehouse -- the company is an icon that is increasing influencing consumer's coffee and tea tastes at home as well.
Since opening its first location in Seattle's Pike Place Market in 1971, Starbucks has added 6,605 retail stores in the United States as of April 3. The continually growing number of Starbucks locations, which sell coffee and espresso makers and coffee brewing accessories in addition to its beverages, means Starbucks is increasing its presence as a housewares retailer.
