All it took was a two-minute tutorial and a little confidence for Matt Ma to turn his and the Oregon golf team's season around.
Ma hit rock bottom on March 1, shooting a hackerlike 12-over-par 83 in the final round of the Ashford Collegiate Invitational in Westlake Village, Calif., as the Ducks finished last among 15 teams.
Midway through the spring season, it appeared Oregon would be left out of the NCAA West Regional Championships for the second straight year.
