Karachi, April 26 (PPI): Over 600 patients of Tuberculosis (TB) have been registered with an average increase of six to seven new cases every day at DOTS (Direct Observation Treatment Short course) Program, Sindh Government Hospital New Karachi (SGHNK). The hospital caters the healthcare needs of residents of New Karachi and some areas of Gadap Town. Approximately 100 patients visit DOTS Center at the hospital, of them 30 to 40 are suspecs of TB. Some patients are referred from DOTS Diagnostic Center at Town Health Office, New Karachi Town and three other treatment centers including Godhra, Aamir Shaheed and Irfan Dispensary beside Nazimabad Chest Clinic.
