Kawasaki wheel loaders aren't as common in Colorado as they are in some other states, so it was an unusual sight on a crisp, clear February morning recently as the big Kawasaki 95ZV loader was transported west from the Commerce City home of Faris Machinery Co. for delivery to the Rocky Flats facility of TXI, on the windswept mesa midway between Golden and Boulder, a stone's throw east of the foothills of the Rockies.
