After the cult success of its Internet film The Mystery of Dalaro, Volvo Car Corp. is expanding its use of the Web for marketing.
Volvo's global corporate Web site recently launched two Internet films. One of them also is on Volvo's British sales site. Volvo is likely to add both new films to its North American site, executives say.
Although Internet movies have been major marketing tools for Volvo in Europe, the company has been more conservative in the United States. That will change soon, says Richard Snijders, Volvo's vice president of global marketing.
