When Rena Belch first became a licensed therapist in 1989, medical professionals were at best ambivalent about massage.
But, attitudes have changed dramatically over the years, and now half her clients were referred to her by a dentist, a physician or a chiropractor, said Ms. Belch, co-owner of Haven Massage Therapy in Rocky River.
