Apr. 28--STOCKTON -- It's abrupt and unexpected, and if you're not quick on the brake pedal, it could be an accident waiting to happen.
That's the concern of some drivers who frequently use the Interstate 5 southbound onramp at Eight Mile Road. They say there is barely enough time or space to safely merge onto the freeway.
"There is no margin of error," said Turlock resident Ken Utt, a Stockton schoolteacher who uses the onramp at least five days a week. "You have to be careful."
