The Elbridge Town Board voted unanimously to have the town assume 100 percent of the cost of insurance for town recreation programs.
"There's the realization that we are running the recreation programs now," Councilor Mike Collier said. "It's grown past what we used to do.
"We're thinking we should be more responsible in this area."
In the past, Supervisor Ken Bush said, the community councils of Jordan and Elbridge split the cost of insurance for recreation programs.
"Then it evolved where the town joined the Elbridge CC and the Jordan CC to pay the insurance premium," Bush said.
