Apr. 29--HUDSON -- Presstek Inc., a provider of direct digital imaging technology, released its first-quarter financial results Thursday, which showed it tripled its revenues while making one-fourth the profit, when compared with the same quarter last year.

The company reported record consolidated revenue of $70.4 million in the first quarter, which ended April 2, compared with $23.3 million during the same time last year.
