Taxes took center stage during dueling news conferences Thursday as Denver's justice center campaign entered the homestretch. Both sides predict a victory.
At a pep-rally style news conference on the steps of City Hall, justice center opponents accused supporters of misrepresenting the issue to gain support.
Once voters actually read the ballot language when polls open Tuesday, vote-no leader Bill Vandenberg said, they will know the truth.
Vandenberg repeated a charge he says is gaining traction: building a jail may take money away from schools.
