PROJECT OVERVIEW:

A Sino/Japanese joint venture was recently established in order to build a new polypropylene (PP) plant in China. The partners in the planned undertaking and their respective shareholdings include Japan-based SUMITOMO CHEMICALS (55%) and TOYO INK MANUFACTURING in conjunction with the local SUMIKA POLYMER COMPOUNDS (ZHUHAI) which will hold the balance of the equity.
