FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. -- More than 3,700 jobs - many in information technology-related fields - were or will be added to the Fairfax County economy by 28 companies that utilized Fairfax County Economic Development Authority (FCEDA) services and resources during the first quarter of the year.
The largest announcement in the quarter came from Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC), the largest employee-owned research and engineering firm in the United States and one of the largest employers in Fairfax County. SAIC said it would create 2,027 new jobs in Fairfax County this year.
