Apr. 30--PARIS -- Carlos Ghosn, chief executive officer of Nissan Motor Co., took over Friday as chief executive of French automaker Renault SA, Nissan's main shareholder, the Associated Press reported.
Outgoing Renault Chairman and Chief Executive Louis Schweitzer handed over the CEO job to Ghosn at Renault's annual shareholder meeting in Paris, the report said.
Schweitzer, 62, will stay on as chairman while Ghosn, 51, will oversee the French automaker's day-to-day operations, the report added.
