The man suspected in the "Fishing Hat Bandit" bank and credit union robberies is scheduled to appear in federal court next week for a hearing to change his plea.
John D. Whitrock, 57, of Burnsville, had pleaded not guilty in February to 21 counts of robbery and one count of attempted robbery in the longest string of bank and credit union robberies within Minnesota.
