A small New Mexico-based frozen custard chain that has found a following in the Southwest is looking to move beyond its regional base. Caliche's Frozen Custard already has eight stores in operation, including two that opened in El Paso, TX since the start of the year. There is also a unit in Fresno, CA, as well as five in the Land of Enchantment, as New Mexico is also known, in Roswell, Deming, Alamogordo and Las Cruces, where the company is headquartered and has two shops.
Kevin Conroy, the chain's chief financial officer, told Ice Cream Reporter that within the next year there will be additional Caliche's shops opened in New Mexico, in Albuquerque, Gallup, and ...
