Fifteen small, industrial companies--representing a total workforce of 133 employees--have recently signed or renewed leases at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, New York City's largest, single-landlord industrial park.
Owned by the City of New York City and managed by the not-for-profit Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation (BNYDC), the 300-acre Navy Yard is home to more than 230 private-sector tenants employing approximately 4,500 workers.
The fifteen firms include a custom furniture manufacturer, a snack company, a sightseeing cruise line, a stagecraft construction company, an accessories distributor and a concrete testing firm.
