The New Doha International Airport Steering Committee (NDIA), on behalf of the Government of Qatar, has held a signing ceremony to formally award the dredging and reclamation works contract for the country's new airport project. A consortium of four dredging companies will work on the project to create the 8.5 sq mile (22 km2) platform for the New Doha International Airport. The consortium is made up of the Qatar Dredging Company, Dredging International, Great Lakes Dredging and Boskalis Westminster.
