A key summit for the shopping centre industry has been held in Istanbul. The US-based International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) hosted the 2005 Retail Real Estate World Summit. The president of the ICSC, Michael Kercheval, noted that the organisation now has 53,000 individual members in some 80 countries. He said the group wants to move beyond its US base and will include more board members from outside the US.
