May 4--TUPELO -- Marla Owens likes the warming breeze, the singing birds and the blooming flowers.
But these days she can't stand to be outside very long, even if it means not spending time with her grandchildren.
"Spring is my favorite time of the year, but my allergies start kicking in about the same time," she said, swabbing a teary eye for the umpteenth time. "I'm miserable but happy at the same time, if that makes sense."
Oh, it does.
