Husky Energy has named the first of two shuttle tankers that will transport oil from the SeaRose Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) facility at the White Rose field offshore Newfoundland and Labrador.
The shuttle tanker, deemed Heather Knutsen, was constructed by Samsung Heavy Industries Koje shipyard in Busan, South Korea. The double-hulled vessel will have a crude capacity of 1 million bbl, as will a sister vessel, Jasmine Knutsen, to be delivered later this year.
