A SURVEY has just revealed that the average British woman spends almost [pounds sterling]30,000 caring for her hair in her lifetime. Sounds a lot?
As this includes all those visits to the hairdresser (once a week for 40 years, say), the haircuts, blow-dries, colouring, shampoos, conditioners, treatments, hairsprays and hair gels that you might need from the age of 18 to, say, 80 - I'd have thought that [pounds sterling]30,000 was a conservative estimate.
It's hard to find a salon in London or even Leigh-on-Sea that charges less than [pounds sterling]25 for a shampoo and blow-dry. And everyone I know, including teenagers, has their ...
