Dhaka, May 5 (UNB) - Law Minister Barrister Moudud Ahmed said here today that there were many areas in the Muslim Family Law where reforms could be effected under proper guidelines.
"Muslim Family Law is implemented normally in the light of Quran and Sunnah, but there are many areas which are not focussed as such," Moudud said in his opening remarks at a Judicial Colloquium on Justice for Women through Muslim Family Law held at the British Council.
But he added that in such situation "the role of Supreme Court was very important for dynamism" through modern thinking.
