In an industry where products have a life cycle of one to two years, the Panasonic KX-P1124i is a rarity. Combined with its predecessor, the 1124, this 24-pin near-letter-quality dot matrix printer has been a best seller going on five years. This is the second year in a row that readers have voted the Panasonic KX-P1124i sold by MidWest Micro a Best Buy.
The 1124i lists for $499, but MidWest Micro promises 24-hour shipping from stock--same day if the order is placed by 3 p.m.--at $289 plus shipping and a $3 handling fee. That makes for a great combination of features, price, and service.
