A pregnant Syracuse woman told police she was defending herself when she stabbed the father of her unborn child Saturday night, court papers said.
Carrie Kent, 30, of 926 Butternut St., was arraigned Sunday in City Court on a felony charge of assault and a misdemeanor charge of criminal possession of a weapon. Bail was set at $15,000 cash or bond.
When police responded to the 900 block of Butternut Street about 10 p.m. Saturday, they found Kent and Michael T. Fields, 39, of 162 W. Brighton Ave. Fields was bleeding through his clothing, police reports said.
