TRUE TO form, after days of calls for his resignation, the Prime Minister has come out fighting with his ministerial reshuffle. Not only do Blairites outnumber Brownites in the ranks of those promoted, but a number of the appointments signal open defiance of his critics. Most prominently, Mr Blair has ennobled and made an education minister of his key education adviser, Andrew Adonis, the architect of the Government's policies on city academies, religious schools and university tuition fees.
