HARRISBURG, Pa., May 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Following a recent report showing that Pennsylvania has significant opportunities to improve its efforts to prevent cervical cancer, Lieutenant Governor Catherine Baker Knoll, Sen. Jane Orie (District 40) and Rep. Julie Harhart (District 183) advanced moves to eliminate the disease at a briefing last night featuring Pennsylvania women legislators and public health advocates. The briefing was sponsored by Women In Government -- representing elected women officials nationwide -- as part of its national Challenge to Eliminate Cervical Cancer Campaign and was hosted by Sen. Orie and Rep. Harhart.
