FOUR young Londoners who are among the brightest children in the country are to compete for the next Junior Mastermind title.
The BBC combed Britain looking for contestants, and teachers were recruited to run classroom heats.
The smartest pupils were encouraged to apply to the show, which then invited the best for auditions and a general knowledge test.
Among the final 20 are these four Londoners, all under 12, whose specialist subjects range from black holes to the Beatles.
Next week they will take their turn in a smaller version of the famous black leather chair to be grilled by questionmaster John ...
