Silicon Image, Inc. , a leader in high-bandwidth semiconductor and system solutions for mass markets, today announced that Adaptec has selected its Serial ATA host controller for the company's first production Serial ATA add-in-card. The Adaptec Serial ATA RAID card, scheduled to be available in the first quarter of 2003, will provide cost-effective, high-performance storage connectivity for desktop PCs, sub-entry servers and network storage.
