The American Psychiatric Association (APA) and AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals, LP have joined forces to recognize and support promising work from young physicians (up to 35 years old) working in the field of psychiatry through the launch of the APA/AstraZeneca Young Minds in Psychiatry Awards Program.
The APA will distribute Young Minds Awards each year to recognize outstanding research in the categories of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Two promising physicians in each category will receive an unrestricted career development grant of $45,000 with awards divided equally between U.S. and international recipients.
