Diebold, Incorporated today announced the release of Agilis(TM), its new open standard platform for automated teller machines (ATMs). This innovative software tackles two challenges for financial institutions: It provides the ability to run the same software across all the ATMs in their network and it offers the ability to take full advantage of advanced technologies, such as the Internet, XFS 2.0 and 3.0, and .NET technologies. Agilis software products will not only run on Microsoft(R) Windows(R)-based machines built by Diebold, but also on comparable machines built by other major ATM manufacturers.
