CONSOL Energy Inc. has sold 44.8 billion cubic feet of natural gas to be produced in 2003 at an average fixed price of $3.99 per million BTUs. This represents 83 to 86 percent of CONSOL Energy's expected 2003 production. The company estimates it will produce between 52 billion cubic feet and 54 billion cubic feet of gas during the year.
