Xteric Technology Group Inc. of Independence is jumping on the bioscience bandwagon.
The 50-person technology services firm has hired six former employees from now-dormant genomics software company Acero Inc. of Cleveland and has acquired much of Acero's computer hardware and office furniture. The moves enabled the company to set up a subsidiary, Xteric Research, to focus on bioscience software and information technology support, said Xteric president Bradley Wertz. Mr. Wertz worked at Acero until 2002.
