ATLANTA -- Ochsner Clinic Foundation received the MedAssets 2005 Outstanding Humanitarian Award for supplying aid to Baptist Hospital when Hurricane Ivan ripped through the Gulf Coast crippling operations at the Pensacola, Fla., facility.
The award was presented during MedAssets Annual Meeting in Las Vegas to recognize Ochsner for its diligent efforts in gathering and transporting supplies and generators to Baptist Hospital where the staff was working without water, electricity or an outbound phone system.
