WHAT: Cyril Empig, Associate Director, Virology of VaxGen, Inc.
, will review results from two animal studies of
the effectiveness of its attenuated smallpox vaccine candidate,
LC16m8. These results are scheduled to be presented at the
Seventh Annual Conference on Vaccine Research sponsored by the
National Foundation for Infectious Diseases (NFID) on May 26th.
In addition to its smallpox vaccine candidate, VaxGen is
developing an anthrax vaccine candidate under contract with the
U.S. government.
