Security Bank Corporation Closes Public Offering and Over-Allotment Option.

Security Bank Corporation (the "Company") today announced that on May 3, 2004, it closed the public offering of 676,200 shares of its common stock at an offering price of $30.25 per share, which included 88,200 shares sold pursuant to the exercise of the underwriters' over-allotment option. Sandler O'Neill & Partners, L.P., served as lead manager and Keefe, Bruyette & Woods served as co-manager of the offering.
