With MTV as a spotlight and "Lord of the Rings" star Elijah Wood as host, Microsoft on Thursday unveiled its sleek next-generation Xbox 360 - its best hope to win the allegiance of the gaming generation.
The new game system allows Internet access and video and music streaming, takes advantage of high-definition technology and allows up to 64 players at a time. Though smaller than its squat black predecessor, the console houses three 3.2-gigahertz IBM microprocessors that could qualify it as the most powerful home computer on the market.
