Cablevision merger an option, sources say
A decision by North Coast Cable Ltd. to review the way it is capitalized has led to industry speculation that Cablevision of Ohio may boost its stake in Cleveland's cable provider.
Officials at North Coast Cable confirmed the company is examining options to restructure its finances, but refused to discuss how those efforts may take shape.
When asked whether North Coast Cable and Cablevision are engaged in merger talks, North Coast president Lee C. Howley said he "would not want to comment on anything regarding North Coast's efforts to restructure its capital."
