GE Money in Australia will start offering instant finance for laser eye operations, dental work and veterinary surgery. GE Capital's personal finance operation is diversifying into the unfunded health-care sector to counter risks in the demand for housing loans, which remains strong but could soften. It is believed the ANZ Bank and Macquarie Bank are also looking at moving into the health care categories not covered by insurance.
