NEW YORK _ He no longer is a No. 1, and some would say he's a No. 5. But if that's the case, Matt Morris may be the best No. 5 starter in the majors.
Continuing his rapid rebound from offseason shoulder surgery, the former 22- and 17-game winner for the Cardinals found himself standing on the mound in an eighth inning Sunday for the first time since he blanked the Los Angeles Dodgers last Sept. 3.
