Automotive air conditioning hose is one of the few growth areas in a European market bit hard by the slump in the car industry. But views vary considerably on how prepared the European hose industry is to grasp the opportunity.
"Contrary to public knowledge, European hose manufacturers and assemblers are and have been reacting, and are well prepared for this market expansion: it will not take 10 years," said Dardanio Manuli, vice-president, automotive at Manuli Rubber Industries SrL in Italy.
