BUENOS AIRES, Argentina, Sept. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Astra C.A.P.S.A. today announced that YPF and the Argentine Ministry of Economy approved Astra's combined offer for the product carriers "Libertador General San Martin" and "Ingeniero Villa" announced June 25, 1993.
Astra also received approval from YPF and the Argentine Ministry of Economy of a bid for 70 percent of the shares of "Transportes Maritimos Petroleros." The bid, announced July 2, 1993, was made by a consortium headed by Astra's Antares Naviera unit. Astra's Antares Naviera unit is now the largest private Argentine operating company transporting oil and oil by-products.
