A top official in the secretive Massachusetts Grand Lodge of Masons was banished from practicing law in the Bay State for preying on clients, the Herald has learned.
Raymond C. Lantz Jr., 60, was forced to resign from the Massachusetts Bar last December as part of a disciplinary action in connection with $275,000 he improperly borrowed from two clients - one a Florida businessman, the other an elderly widow, according to a ruling by the state's Board of Bar Overseers.
Lantz, of North Dartmouth, until recently sat on the board of a Masons trust that controls more than $100 million in assets.
