KAZINBARCIKA, HUNGARY -- Dynea International Oy and BorsodChem Rt are investing to double capacity at their jointly owned formaldehyde unit, BCKC Formalin Kft, in Kazinbarcika, Hungary to 120 kilotonnes per annum by the end of 2005.

The plant, is "based on Dynea's world-class formaldehyde process technology," a joint statement said.

Hungarian chemical supplier BorsodChem Rt--a leading producer of MDI (methylene diphenyl diisocyanate) in central Europe--is increasing its MDI capacity in Kazinbarcika from 60 to 160 ktpa.
