Twins bullpen coach Rick Stelmaszek nicknamed it the "League of Nations Infield." Floridian Doug Mientkiewicz, Venezuelan Luis Rivas, Dominican Cristian Guzman and Canadian Corey Koskie helped transform the Twins, then dispersed, leaving only the ghost of Rivas still propping up a TC cap.
The League of Nations has been replaced by The Melting Pot, a fondue of fretful fielders who have turned this spring into an unscientific study of the effects of stress upon professional athletes.
