The World Series, the Super Bowl, the NCAA Final Four, the Davis Cup...Minnesota has been the host of most of the premier sports events in the United States over the last year. Recently joining this illustrious list was the Everest & Jennings USTA Indoor National Wheelchair Tennis Championship, which took place at Burnsville Racquet, Swim & Health Club in Burnsville, MN. Many of the top players in the U.S. competed in the tournament, which featured 119 athletes from 20 states and three countries.
In Men's Open Singles, number two seed Chip Parmelly of Diamond Bar, CA, upset top-seeded Brad Parks of San Clemente, CA, with a 6-3, 6-4 victory in the final. ...
