May 18--We should all be grateful for Brazil. It is widely known how its vast rainforests are vital contributors of oxygen to the world's atmosphere.
What is less understood is the low level of U.S.-Brazilian trade.
This year's Export Leaders class of small San Antonio businesses seeking entrance to new foreign markets, led by the city's International Affairs Department, started its May classroom session last week with an hourlong teleconference with U.S. Commercial Service officers at the U.S. consulate in Sao Paulo, Brazil -- the world's third-largest city.
