Freddy Adu knows how complicated it sounds, living in a teenager's skin while inhabiting the realm of pro sports. But actually, he said, it's pretty simple. Step over the white line onto the soccer pitch and behave as an adult. Step out and become 15 again, back to video games and hanging out.
By watching Adu, though, it becomes clear his worlds are not so neatly separated. This week at the National Sports Center, where he and his U.S. under-20 teammates prepared for tonight's game against Canada, Adu laughed and danced through practices like a youngster.
