Panama City Beach tourism officials report that hotels, attractions, the airport and beaches are open for business and ready for visitors after sustaining minimal damage from Hurricane Ivan. The Hathaway Bridge from Panama City to Panama City Beach and all roads leading to the area are open.
Known as the "Beach Lover's Beach," Panama City Beach recently completed a $25 million beach nourishment project, which protected the beachfront properties and beach from damage or major erosion during the recent storm.
