May 19--The board of the Tennessee Valley Authority shrinks by a third today, but it should soon get much bigger.
TVA Chairman Glenn McCullough ended his five and a half years on the 3-member TVA board Wednesday by thanking leaders of the municipalities and cooperatives that distribute TVA-generated power across its 7-state region. The distributors, who were gathered near Gulf Shores Alabama for the annual meeting of the Tennessee Valley Public Power Association, have urged President Bush to re-appoint Mr. McCullough to a new part-time board.
